Previously retired in April of 1960, the locomotive was being prepared for a second life hauling rail fan trips around Southern Ontario and beyond. No. 6218 entered excursion service by pulling a double-header with No. 6067 on September 27, 1964. It's final excursion occurred on July 4, 1971. The overhaul of Jordan Spreader No. 50907, in the near background, is another example of the make-work projects assigned to Stratford. ,
