Baldwin Locomotive Works built this 2-8-2T in August, 1929 for the Campbell River Timber Co. as their No. 2. Subsequent ownership leased it to Comox Logging in 1951 and it is seen here operating
as Comox No. 18. Ladysmith, BC was the terminus of Comox's rail operations where the locomotive remains, stored out of service. Photographed at Nanaimo Lakes, BC in May 1959. See letter July/Aug issue for more information |
