It’s an early winter day as passengers wait on the station platform at Wetaskiwin, Alberta for the CPR Dayliner, destination Edmonton.
The station, built in 1908, is a replacement for one originally erected by the Calgary and Edmonton Railway, taken over by CPR in 1903. Passenger service to Wetaskiwin continued until 1985. The rail line remains in use by CP, while the station, still standing, is leased to local businesses.Photo December 1980. |
